Oklahoma Central Cancer Registry is the central database of information on all cancers diagnosed or treated in Oklahoma since January 1, 1997. Oklahoma Statute 63 OS 1-551 requires all healthcare and health service providers to report specific information on every cancer
case diagnosed or treated in Oklahoma. Data sharing agreements with surrounding states are in place to assure the completeness of the information for all Oklahoma residents.
The Oklahoma Central Cancer Registry is also a member of the North American Association
of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR) and has been awarded gold status (highest level attainable)
for data completeness and quality for the past 3 years. All data on this query site is
considered high quality by both NAACCR and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
This query system of statewide registry data enables researchers, policymakers, and consumers
to obtain incidence for all major cancer sites. In addition, the information allows both
private and public health agencies to study cancer trends and develop cancer prevention and/or
control programs that are based on the data.
Oklahoma Central Cancer Registry is supported by Cooperative Agreement # 1 NU58DP007125-01-00 from the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
