Oklahoma Central Cancer Registry is the central database of information on all cancers diagnosed or treated in Oklahoma since January 1, 1997. Oklahoma Statute 63 OS 1-551 requires all healthcare and health service providers to report specific information on every cancer
case diagnosed or treated in Oklahoma. Data sharing agreements with surrounding states are in place to assure the completeness of the information for all Oklahoma residents.
The Oklahoma Central Cancer Registry is able to provide outstanding data annually to the
North American Association of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR) and the National Program of
Cancer Registries (NPCR) due to the collective efforts of all Oklahoma cancer reporters.
This query system of statewide registry data enables researchers, policymakers, and consumers
to obtain incidence for all major cancer sites. In addition, the information allows both
private and public health agencies to study cancer trends and develop cancer prevention and/or
control programs that are based on the data.
Oklahoma Central Cancer Registry is supported by Cooperative Agreement DP22-2202 NU58DP007125-05 from the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
