Inpatient Discharge Data
The Health Care Information Division is responsible for collecting,
processing and disseminating hospital inpatient discharge data.
Oklahoma began collecting this data in 1998.
This data is used for a wide range of applications.
Legislators and policy makers use this data for public health planning,
legislation and policy development. Researchers use this data to understand trends and patterns
of hospitalizations. Hospitals use this data for their strategic planning and quality assurance purposes.
This user-friendly data query system provides users access to information related to hospitals stays.
Information is available on the number of discharges, charges, length of stay and the common diagonses. This data is available from calendar year 2002.
