Principal Job Duties:

This position will provide professional nursing services to patients in the clinic setting for the Bryan County Health Department.  This position will prepare for the assist physicians, Advanced Practice Nurses in clinics, interpret physician and APN recommendations and orders to patients; provide nursing services through WIC, family planning, general communicable disease, sexually transmitted disease ad immunizations; participate in community health education programs; provide direction to patient care assistants and clinical support staff,; perform physical assessments of patients and screenings and other related tasks.

Position requires possible response to public health emergencies including, but not limited to, natural disasters, disease outbreaks, or catastrophic events.  The Oklahoma State Department of Health is tobacco free.  Employees are prohibited from using tobacco products throughout all indoor and outdoor areas of premises under the control of the Oklahoma State Department of Health, in all vehicles on those premises, and in state vehicles in use for OSDH business.  Applicants may be subject to a background check.
