Principal Job Duties: Principal Duties: This position will provide administrative support for the Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Program, as well as track day care inspections requested by the Department of Human Services (DHS), and assist with administering licensing exams for the Alarm/Locksmith Program. Duties include, but are not limited to, managing daily operations for the Hearing Aid Program; interpreting licensing requirements/rules; approving license applications and support documents; scheduling applicants for exam; administering exams; providing administrative support for the Hearing Aid Advisory Council; composing/preparing program correspondence; updating program database; issuing initial licenses; renewing licenses annually; and organizing/maintaining program files/records. This position will receive lists of requested day care inspections from DHS; organize inspection lists and forward to appropriate field staff; track completed inspections; invoice DHS for completed inspections; track invoice payments; and follow-up on uncompleted inspections. Position will schedule applicants for alarm/locksmith examinations on a weekly basis; develop exam schedules detailing the license categories each applicant has been approved to examine for; submit computer exams for scoring; print exam results; and counsel applicants on exam results.
Other: Position requires possible response to public health emergencies including, but not limited to, natural disasters, disease outbreaks, or catastrophic events. The Oklahoma State Department of Health is tobacco free.
