Principal Job Duties:

This is one of five HRMS positions assigned to manage human resources for an agency of approximately 2,200 employees.  Duties include, but are not limited to, reviewing, auditing and processing of personnel transactions for new hires, promotions, demotions, lateral transfers, detail to special duty, probationary to permanent, change in duty station, leave without pay, name changes, skill-based pay, market adjustments, equity adjustments, salary adjustments, increase/decrease in time worked, and separations; longevity verification and calculations; maintaining division staffing patterns; processing retirement, educational leave and requests for outside employment; printing and returning Merit System job list certificates to OPM; preparing wage and salary surveys to provide recommendations for salary changes; advising agency personnel staff, employees, supervisors and managers on hiring practices, terminations, promotions, and demotions and other personnel related issues in accordance with the Oklahoma Personnel Act, Merit System rules and agency policy.

 

Other:

Position requires possible response to public health emergencies including, but not limited to, natural disasters, disease outbreaks, or catastrophic events.  The Oklahoma State Department of Health is tobacco free.  Employees are prohibited from using tobacco products throughout all indoor and outdoor areas of premises under the control of the Oklahoma State Department of Health, in all vehicles on those premises, and in state vehicles in use for OSDH business anywhere.  Applicants may be subject to a background check.
